TesseracT [UK] www.tesseractband.co.uk www.myspace.com/tesseract Genres: progressive metal, math metal, technical metal, djent, mathcore They are a five-piece band from northern England, which started its existence in spring 2007, by the initiative of guitarist Acle Kahney. The name of the band comes from a geometrical hyper hexahedron, encyclopedic description of which says: ”the tesseract, also called an 8-cell or regular octachoron, is the four-dimensional analog of the cube”. This can be seen as an analogy to the members of the band who played in diverse stylistic bands in the past. The collection and mix of the influences gives us a array of complicated riffs, broken rhythms, melody, brutality and a unique sound. They were frequently described as the most interesting band, despite the fact that they did not record any album. Nevertheless, they gathered a huge fan base around the globe; fans who await the release of the debut album, entitled simply “One”, which will see the light of day in 2010. The band will promote this release on their first ever show in Poland.
